Borough Fire Department Seeks Volunteers to Support Growing Call Volume The Borough Fire Department is dedicated to serving our community, responding to approximately 600 calls each year—a number that continues to grow. However, like many fire departments across the country, we are facing an all-time low in volunteers. We are incredibly fortunate to have the unwavering support of our borough council and the residents we serve. Your encouragement and assistance have been invaluable. Now, we are asking for your help in a more direct way. The fire department is actively seeking volunteers to join our team. While not everyone can fight fires, there are numerous other ways to contribute, including: Traffic and Crowd Control For those unable to visit the station in person, we encourage you to message us through this page. We will do our best to respond promptly and provide the information you need. Your support is essential to ensuring we can continue providing top-tier service to our community. Whether you’re interested in volunteering or simply spreading the word, every bit of help makes a difference. Fire Safety Tip: Having a working smoke alarm is one of the simplest ways to protect your family. Test your smoke alarms monthly, and replace the batteries at least once a year.
